Click here to watch highlights from this year’s NASA HUNCH Final Design Reviews!
Last week, students from across the country traveled to NASA Johnson Space Center to participate in NASA HUNCH Final Design Reviews - a critical milestone where student teams present their completed projects for formal evaluation after months of design, development, and iteration.
Hosted in Rocket Park—which houses a full-scale Saturn V rocket—teams presented projects they’ve spent months designing, building, and refining to mentors, engineers, NASA scientists, and astronauts. These projects are developed to address real challenges astronauts face, contributing innovative solutions that help advance human spaceflight.
Students were challenged to clearly communicate their ideas, defend design decisions, and demonstrate technical understanding - mirroring the rigorous review processes used in real NASA missions.
Beyond the presentations, the event fostered meaningful conversations between students and professionals, offering valuable insight, feedback, and inspiration. It was not only a chance to showcase their work, but to experience what it means to contribute to the future of human space exploration.
This video captures a glimpse of the innovation, collaboration, and energy that defined this year’s Final Design Reviews.
