North Western Regional Kickoff Info
Welcome teachers and administrators to a new year in NASA HUNCH!
If this is your first year wanting to participate, please fill out the application for acceptance into our program here: Registration / Forms
For returning teachers, please fill out the Regpack registration here also on the Registration/Forms webpage. Don’t forget to remove non-returning students and add new students to the list on your dashboard in Regpack.
Everyone will need to fill out the required forms in order to participate in NASA HUNCH, so teachers, after you register, please follow up with your students to make sure their release forms have been completed.

This year we have an all star list of projects that NASA would like YOU to work on! Follow this link to view all the separate programs and what projects they have for this school year: NASA HUNCH Programs
Note: Each program follows a slightly different yearly schedule. Make sure to familiarize yourself with your chosen program’s schedule.

This event page will be updated for each portion of the school year, following an engineering review process.
- Kickoff (the beginning of the school year) – Registration period. Information is posted on the website and goes out to teachers.
- PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews) – generally virtual reviews of students' projects and progress
- CDR (Critical Design Review) – generally in-person reviews, held regionally, to present your prototype to NASA HUNCH staff
- Final Showcase/FDR (Final Design Review) – invitation only; students invited will travel to Houston to showcase their final protype and project to NASA staff, engineers, and astronauts
Please reach with any questions to your regional mentor (contact information at the bottom of the regional webpage).
It’s going to be a great year!
