Ball Clamp Redesign

Objective: To redesign the current Ball Clamp designs to function as a universal mounting system for tables on Moon to Maras Missions. manufacture an updated operating model, create a complete set of CAD drawings using NASA style drawing guides, identify aerospace approved materials needed to build an engineering development unit.

Key Features:

• Redesign the table for ease of manufacturing by reducing milling or Lathe operations by utilizing alternative manufacturing methods, such as a waterjet cutting.
  
• Simplification of ball joint to bushing joint
  
• Potentially add indexing to joint mechanism.
  
• Simple use for astronauts.
  
• Use aerospace approved materials.
