🚀 Executive Summary: NASA HUNCH Digital Asset Collaboration Project
Welcome to an extraordinary opportunity to become part of NASA’s next generation of space exploration!
The NASA HUNCH Digital Asset Collaboration Project invites high school students and teachers across the country to work together in building a shared virtual library of 3D models and digital resources for NASA’s Deep Space missions. Your work will directly support real NASA initiatives like the Artemis Moon-to-Mars program, the Lunar Gateway, and future space stations such as Axiom and Starlab.
Here’s why this project is so exciting:
Your Designs, NASA’s Missions:
Create virtual models of space station equipment—like Cargo Transfer Bags (CTBs), stowage enclosures, and freezer bags—that NASA will use for Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and simulation training. Your contributions could influence how astronauts train and prepare for missions to the Moon and beyond!
Collaboration Across the Nation:
Join forces with students from other schools, share your creations, and build on each other’s work. With our new, student-friendly online toolkit, every team can easily upload, organize, and find 3D assets—no more duplicated effort or lost files.
Professional Tools, Real Skills:
Learn to use industry-standard platforms like GitHub for teamwork, Blender for 3D modeling, and clear documentation practices—preparing you for college, internships, and STEM careers.
Creativity Meets Engineering:
Whether you’re an artist, a coder, or a space enthusiast, you’ll have a chance to innovate, solve real-world problems, and see your work come to life in NASA’s VR environments.
Make an Impact:
Everything you create and share could be used by NASA engineers, astronauts, and students worldwide—your work matters!
Ready to launch your ideas into space?
Join the NASA HUNCH Digital Asset Collaboration Project and help shape the future of space exploration, one model at a time. We can’t wait to see what you’ll build for the Moon, Mars, and beyond!
