Flight Configuration-Cosmic Dust Collector

I am pleased to announce that the 2025 Cosmic Dust Roller from Minnetonka High School has been selected to move forward into Flight Configuration for further development.

The following was listed by the Minnetonka HUNCH Team as their key features.

Key Features:

• Simple use for astronauts, only one button to press

• Reusable/reloadable cartridge

• Immediate air sealing with use of a power spring

• Easy cartridge removal for study

• Attachable to tether

Objective: To further develop using suggested improvements, manufacture an updated operating model, create a complete set of CAD drawings using NASA style drawing guides, identify aerospace approved materials needed to build an engineering development unit.
