Flight Configuration HUNCH Utility Desk

The current HUD design destined for the ISS is a HUNCH designed and manufactured table for the crew to us as a workdesk.

The task is to now revisit the design and create a thinner, lighter, and easier to attach, and easier to manufacture.

This would include elements such as:

• Scalable in width for different aerospace programs and applications.

• Redesign for ease of manufacturing. Reduce machining time required on a MIll or Lathe by using tools such as a waterjet to speed part manufacturing.

• Handrail attachment method can this be built into the table. Redesign / replace the Variloc attachment system to a much easier to manufacture and use system.
• Lower Weight / Mass of the table.
• Reduce the thickness.
• Use aerospace approved materials.
• New built in table seat track.
