Sanitization and Food Safety Certification
Teachers, Once you have registered as the teacher for the program it will be required that you take the American Culinary Federation Food Safety Certification course. It will cost $10 and you will earn 8 hours of continuing education credits. You will then dissimenate the information to the students. The students will be scored on their use of this knowledge both at their preliminaries and the final cook off in Houston.
Steps to complete this:
- Once registered, take a screen shot of your registration page that shows you have completed all steps.
- Email me ([email protected]) with your screen shot.
- I will then send your name and email to the representative at ACF
- ACF will give you access and take your payment so that you can take the course.
- Once you take the test and receive your certificate you will need to send me a picture of your certificate. ([email protected]).
- You may then disseminate information to the students as you wish.
- Teachers and students can review the scoring rubric below in the PDF Food handling and safety. This will be scored for both the preliminary challenges and the finals. This will be in addition to the sensory evaluation sheet.
YOU will not be able to participate in the Preliminaries unless I have a record of your ACF certificate.
