In early December, HUNCH personnel and NASA representatives visited several HUNCH-affiliated schools across Puerto Rico to inspire students and strengthen collaborations. The team included Program Manager Scott Rodriguez, Program Director George Kessler, and HUNCH founder Stacy Hale, alongside NASA representatives Colleen Corbett, Jennifer Scott Williams, Jorge Sotomayor, Ousmane Diallo, and Miriam Sam.
Partnering with the Puerto Rico Space Grant Consortium, represented by Gerardo and Kamila Morell, they connected with students and educators at five schools: Escuela del Deporte, Colegio Rosa-Bell, Escuela Tomas C. Ongay, Segunda Unidad de Bayamoncito, and Academia del Perpetuo Socorro. These schools represent a diverse geographic range, from the urban hubs of San Juan and Bayamón to the serene regions of Guaynabo and Aguas Buenas.
HUNCH now supports 15 schools across Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, fostering innovation and opportunities in STEM education while inspiring the next generation of space explorers and innovators.
