Pictured here are the senior HUNCH machining students at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, joined by instructor Eric Tanger and HUNCH mentor Bill Gibson. Over the past school year, this dedicated team manufactured the Insert Bearings for Handrails.

Insert Bearings for Handrails are precision-machined components that allow handrails to pivot smoothly and safely by reducing friction between moving parts. Manufacturing these bearings gives students direct experience with tight tolerances, quality control, and producing hardware that meets NASA’s functional requirements.
