IVA Handrails Assembled

With months of work across many different schools, final assembly of the IVA Handrails is coming together. Intra-Vehical Handrails are used across the International Space Station as hand or foot holds as well as anchoring points for the astronauts while they work. These specific handrails are designed so that they can be attached easily to the seat track on racks and other structures around the International Space Station. Students are machining highly detailed parts from raw materials to NASA’s high quality standards.
