April 26, 2018 – Working with Alpha Space to support quick-turnaround criteria, HUNCH students and interns worked to: assemble flight sample trays, assemble and match drill an attachment mechanism and fixture for the robotic arm that enables the arm to interface with the MISSE sample carriers, fabricate Teflon gaskets using a water jet, assist Alpha Space personnel with basic circuit board preparation and processing, as well as assembly, machine and installation assistance of a vibration testing adapter plate, and machining flight deck, carrier step, adapter plate, and several other parts modifications
